Advising for Distance learning Food and Nutrition majors

Students admitted to the Distance Learning Food and Nutrition Degree Program are advised by Mrs. Garrett, Ms. Ivy, or Mrs. Sears, our Distance Learning Advisors. They are available to meet with students by Zoom, phone, or in-person.

Creating an Academic Plan in DegreeWorks is an important step in preparing for your advising session. Soon after admission, students will receive a welcome email with advising and registration information from their assigned advisor. All email correspondence will be sent to your crimson email account. Pay special attention to the DPD Requirements Course Chart attached to your welcome email. This chart details course sequencing and DPD requirements.

Complete the Nutrition by Distance Orientation and create your academic plan in DegreeWorks before signing up for a time to meet with your academic advisor.

Advising for upper-level Distance learning Food and Nutrition majors

Students starting the upper-level nutrition courses are assigned a faculty advisor. Students can view their assigned advisor at the top of DegreeWorks. Be sure to look for emails from your faculty advisor each semester with instructions on setting up a time to meet.
